He held a small brightly colored pod in each hand with a small nozzle ....
He was amazed how with a short burst of power he simply was levitated and hovering above the Canal just behind the house...
Some entirely different principle .. had him there just hanging in animation or going this way or that at his leisure.
Why he could see all the way across the bay up to the Quay... or where the Quay used to be... all that was left was the hurricane damaged remains of the small light house.. he could fly past there and to Flamingo just east of Cape Sable in a breeze a flash if he wanted to.. but for now he was content on just hovering.. and looking down at the Bikini clad neighbor of his laying in the Chase lounge without a care in the World.
What he enjoyed most about it all was the perspective... not the forward motion or the Speed... but the Hovering in effect...
To see down the blouse .... and gain perspective
There was a gunfire ban.. so he figured he would not get blown down out of the SKY... for now...
So he questioned of himself.... what is the point to the game?
His answer to himself was Free flight with no destination .
Having A suspension in Space... combined with the element of doing nothing.
Not having do something to find fulfillment ... How was it that often some were finding a thrill and temporary satisfaction with the Given Element of Danger?... frankly spinning in and dyeing for it.... he knew some fundamental rules simply could not be broken if using archaic means.. but still many refused to learn and frequently plummeted to their deaths... Kind of an Icarus thing.. he supposed to himself ... in a way... not listening to what POP had to say when turning on a base to final.
Our protection, the way of the World not the way of anything else... perhaps his new found levitating was just something new to worry about?
Buy why the refuse to see part of others ? The only other thing he felt he was maybe good at was dark and sardonic humor?
Was humor something that went beyond earthly plains?
He was glad for flight and good humor.
But not the Ingrown toenails...of humanity
